Ed Strachar’s life has been a remarkable journey through engineering, accelerated learning, international exploration, extraordinary success, devastating loss, spiritual discovery, healing, and personal reinvention.
Today, at 66 years old, Ed is the creator of Reading Genius®, Healing Genius®, and Advanced Performance Recovery Systems®. His mission is to share the immense body of knowledge he has accumulated through six decades of study, invention, experimentation, teaching, healing, and travel through more than 90 countries.

From a Blue Collar Family to Advanced Engineering
Ed, 5 years old in New York
Born in the Bronx and raised in a working class, sometimes broken family, Ed was the son of a New York City firefighter. After the age of ten, he grew up on Long Island and attended Locust Valley High School.
Ed went on to study electrical engineering and mathematics at the University at Buffalo within the State University of New York system, with additional studies at Stony Brook University. He later completed graduate level work at the Polytechnic Institute of New York and continued his executive education through the University of Southern California’s Executive MBA program.
His combination of mathematical ability, engineering expertise, curiosity, and unconventional thinking soon brought him into the rapidly advancing electronics industry.
Ed became the coinventor of U.S. Patent No. 4,805,137, a sophisticated integrated circuit control system designed for the MIL-STD-1553B data bus used throughout military and aerospace technology. The patented chip performed the functions of both a bus controller and a remote terminal, allowing complex message transfers to be executed with minimal intervention from the host computer.
The invention placed Ed’s work within the demanding worlds of aerospace, defense systems, advanced aircraft, missile technology, and other mission critical applications.
During his engineering career, Ed visited, consulted with, and presented to more than 100 corporations. He worked with companies throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia, developing not only his technical expertise but also an exceptional ability to communicate complicated ideas clearly.
Those years transformed Ed into a skilled speaker, compelling teacher, and masterful presenter, abilities that would later become central to his life’s work.
Around the World, and Inside the Human Mind

At approximately 30 years old, Ed decided to step away from his career for a year and see the world.
He backpacked across Europe and eventually traveled into the Soviet Union, where he had the rare opportunity to study chess among elite players and grandmasters at Moscow’s renowned Central Chess Club.
Chess fascinated Ed because it demanded much more than intelligence. It required concentration, pattern recognition, memory, visualization, strategic thinking, emotional control, and the ability to process enormous amounts of information rapidly.
Ed was also an avid tennis player who had studied mental training and peak performance. In San Francisco, he explored neurolinguistic programming with Dr. Richard Bandler. These seemingly different disciplines (engineering, mathematics, chess, tennis, mental training, and NLP) began merging into a new understanding of how the human mind learns and performs.
After returning to Silicon Valley, Ed found himself increasingly uninterested in returning to a conventional corporate career.
Then a conversation with a neighbor changed the direction of his life.
The Birth of Reading Genius®

Ed’s neighbor was a schoolteacher who complained that her students struggled to read and had little interest in their assigned books.
Ed jokingly replied that he had experienced the same problem, and that it was one reason he had gravitated toward mathematics and electrical engineering.
Then he made an unusual offer.
He asked the teacher to invite him into her classroom. Ed wanted to apply what he had learned from chess, visualization, mental training, NLP, athletics, mathematics, and systems engineering to the problem of reading.
Instead of treating reading as a mechanical exercise involving only words and sentences, Ed approached it as a complete human performance system involving the eyes, brain, imagination, emotions, concentration, memory, and subconscious mind.
Those classroom experiments became the beginning of Reading Genius®.
The results propelled Ed into the public spotlight. Reading Genius became a major commercial success and was eventually presented to students, educators, executives, military personnel, and professionals associated with organizations including the U.S. Air Force Academy, West Point, the Naval Postgraduate School, Xerox, Hewlett Packard, National Semiconductor, and educational institutions across the United States.
Reading Genius brought Ed a level of financial success and recognition that was completely unfamiliar to someone from his modest, blue collar upbringing.
Television marketers and infomercial companies soon approached him with opportunities to sell Reading Genius worldwide. Yet Ed became frustrated with an industry he believed was often more interested in aggressive promises and rapid product sales than in creating a legitimate educational movement.
Ed did not merely want to sell another product.
He wanted to empower people, transform education, and raise human intelligence on a worldwide scale.
Disillusioned with the direction the business world wanted him to take, Ed left the United States and began another chapter of his life in Thailand.
Learning the International Language of Love

Ed has now traveled through more than 90 countries and was single for much of his adult life. His international experience gave him an unusually broad understanding of courtship, relationships, and the profound differences in how men and women communicate across cultures.
He observed that expectations surrounding dating, marriage, family, affection, respect, masculinity, femininity, responsibility, and commitment can vary tremendously from one country to another.
What is understood as caring in one culture may be misinterpreted in another. What communicates strength in one country may appear insensitive somewhere else. Even sincere people can hurt one another when they fail to understand the cultural language through which love is expressed.
Through decades of personal experience, Ed learned that relationship harmony cannot be built through manipulation, rehearsed techniques, or superficial charm. It requires emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, mutual respect, patience, understanding, and ultimately, true love.
Today, Ed privately consults accomplished executives and professional men who want to understand international courtship, communicate more effectively with women, and build loving, harmonious relationships across cultural boundaries.
His purpose is not simply to help a man “find a woman.” It is to help both people understand one another deeply enough that the relationship strengthens and enriches their lives.
Ed believes that lasting harmony must build both people, and that this only happens when the foundation is genuine love.
Entering the Mystical World

Ed spent seven years living in Thailand, studying subjects that conventional education rarely acknowledges: intuition, spiritual energy, the sixth sense, consciousness, healing, and the unseen dimensions of human existence.
What began as curiosity gradually became an intense personal exploration.
As Ed’s sensitivity and intuitive abilities developed, however, his life began to unravel in ways he could not explain. He experienced what he describes as a succession of disturbing supernatural events: mirrors breaking, people making inexplicable accusations, trusted employees behaving erratically, relationships deteriorating, and his finances collapsing.
In one incident, an employee erased every photograph from Ed’s camera and later told him:
“I don’t know what got into me.”
Ed’s response was simple:
“I don’t know what got into you either.”
Events like this forced Ed to confront subjects he had previously known little about: possession, curses, witchcraft, spiritual interference, dark entities, and destructive energetic forces.
Over several years, Ed watched his wealth disappear. He went from being a millionaire to what he describes as a “negative millionaire,” burdened by losses and liabilities he could not understand or reverse.
Eventually, Ed reached the edge of taking his own life. He felt as if a dark cloud had followed him for years, destroying his clarity, prosperity, relationships, and sense of purpose.
He searched desperately for an answer.
As the old saying goes:
“The last key on the ring is often the one that opens the door.”
The Teacher Who Changed Everything

Through a friend of a friend, Ed was introduced to respected spiritual teacher and healer Raymon Grace.
Ed credits Grace with saving his life by identifying and removing the dark energetic forces that Ed believed had been affecting him. As those forces were cleared, Ed says his clarity, vitality, confidence, and personal power began returning.
This experience changed the course of his life.
Ed began studying spiritual healing and energy work intensively. His teachers and influences included Raymon Grace and Dr. and Master Zhi Gang Sha, alongside years of independent experimentation, prayer, meditation, energetic exploration, and communication with what Ed describes as higher dimensional spiritual intelligence.
Gradually, Ed began developing his own healing abilities.
Then came the experience that convinced him those abilities were meant to be shared.
A Glass of Energized Water

A former employee in the Philippines contacted Ed because her grandmother was reportedly dying from liver cancer. The family could not afford the expensive medicine she needed, and they believed the treatment was not helping her.
Ed was in Florida, thousands of miles away.
He asked the family to bring the grandmother a glass of water. From Florida, Ed focused his energy and intention upon that water while the family participated remotely.
According to the family’s account, the grandmother’s condition improved dramatically. She left the hospital approximately two days later and reportedly lived for another five or six years.
Ed considers this the beginning of his life as a healer.
Soon, people began contacting him with difficult physical, emotional, and spiritual problems. Ed worked with them remotely: sometimes over Zoom, sometimes over the telephone, and occasionally through online messages alone.
These experiences eventually became Healing Genius®.
Healing Through Love

Love is the force that connects every major chapter of Ed’s life.
Ed believes that healing is not simply a matter of directing energy. It requires genuine compassion, spiritual responsibility, and love for the person receiving it.
He brings that love into his work with clients, children, athletes, families, and orphanages. Whether he is helping someone recover from pain, guiding a frightened child, supporting a struggling family, or teaching a student to unlock greater mental ability, Ed seeks to make the individual feel seen, valued, protected, and loved.
For Ed, love is not merely an emotion.
It is an active spiritual force, one capable of restoring energy, rebuilding confidence, strengthening relationships, and awakening the body’s capacity to heal.
Healing Without Distance

Ed has now worked with people around the world in more than 3,000 cases involving physical injuries, chronic pain, emotional trauma, spiritual interference, addictions, damaged relationships, and other difficult circumstances.
His approach is founded on a principle that guides all of his healing work:
Every person, and every cell, bone, joint, and organ, has a spiritual component. When that spiritual component is weakened, injured, blocked, or corrupted, the physical body may also suffer. By restoring its energy and spiritual integrity, the body may be supported in healing from within.
Ed’s sessions are performed remotely, demonstrating his belief that healing energy and love are not limited by geography.
He describes his work as spiritual and energetic rather than conventional medical treatment. He does not diagnose disease or advise people to abandon appropriate medical care. Serving Children and Orphanages Around the World

Some of Ed’s most meaningful work has involved helping vulnerable children.
Over the years, Ed has sponsored and supported orphanages and children in Russia, Ukraine, India, Thailand, Nepal, the Philippines, and Myanmar. His involvement has gone beyond financial assistance.
Ed has worked remotely with orphans, caregivers, and orphanage directors, offering spiritual support, healing sessions, encouragement, and love. He treats the children he supports as if they were members of his own extended family.
He believes that children who have experienced abandonment, poverty, trauma, displacement, or exploitation need more than shelter and food. They also need protection, stability, confidence, affection, and the knowledge that someone believes their lives matter.
This humanitarian work expresses one of Ed’s deepest convictions:
Every child deserves to be protected, loved, and given the opportunity to discover their extraordinary potential.
Rescuing a Life, and Creating a Legacy

Among Ed’s proudest accomplishments was helping a young woman escape human trafficking in Thailand.
That woman later became the mother of Ed’s godson, Eddie Healing Jr.
For Ed, Eddie’s life represents something profoundly meaningful: a new generation emerging from a story that could otherwise have ended in exploitation and tragedy.
Ed poured his love, knowledge, experience, and training into his godson’s development. Eddie grew into an exceptional reader and an accomplished healer in his own right.
Today, Eddie Healing Jr. is an elite healer and the only other trainer authorized to teach Ed’s Reading Genius methods. He has developed the ability to read and absorb multiple books in a single day (sometimes three or four and, on many occasions, as many as five) and has repeatedly demonstrated this extraordinary capability.
Eddie embodies Ed’s belief that genius can be developed when a young person is surrounded by love, opportunity, advanced training, and unwavering belief in their potential.
His development is more than a Reading Genius success story.
It is part of Ed’s living legacy.
Healing Athletes and Restoring Performance

Ed’s work with injuries and human performance led to the creation of Advanced Performance Recovery Systems® (APRS).
Through APRS, Ed has worked with football players, Olympians, physicians, sports medicine professionals, and other athletes experiencing injured knees, damaged backs, joint problems, pain, restricted movement, and impaired performance.
His objective is to help activate recovery without drugs, surgery, mechanical devices, or geographic limitations.
Ed’s background gives him an unusual perspective on athletic recovery. He approaches the human body with an engineer’s understanding of systems, an athlete’s appreciation of performance, and a healer’s awareness of energy, spirit, and love.

For more than two decades, Ed lived in Silicon Valley, where he interacted with leading engineers, entrepreneurs, executives, educators, and innovators, in boardrooms, laboratories, classrooms, and on the tennis court.
He has now traveled through more than 90 countries, studying different cultures, philosophies, educational systems, relationships, healing traditions, spiritual beliefs, and approaches to human development.
