How do kids learn so fast? Can you and I as adults do the same? Are there methods that will help us learn faster? If we want to learn super fast, what extremes must we go to??

It is important to realize that learning is something we are constantly doing - regardless of whether it's an active or intentional process or passive and unintentional. I mean even when you are sleeping and supposedly unconscious, your brain still has the ability to monitor your surroundings. Many surgeons, in fact, can tell you of patient reports of remembering conversations between them and the surgical staff while the patients were supposedly unconscious or anesthetized.

In fact, when you learn to reach high levels of concentration, you naturally realize that you can learn much better, faster, and more completely.

An additional motivating factor is the reality that in this 21st century, learning new technological skills and being able to adapt to ever changing surroundings and environments is essential to stay ahead of the curve. In fact, learning faster could be a person's single biggest career booster.

So, first off here's a question for you: Who learns faster? The PHD Professor in educational psychology from Harvard University, or a 7-year-old little kid? Of Course! The little kid every time!

Most trainers will tell you, which you may have experienced yourself, that trying to teach someone when they already think they know is far more difficult than teaching someone who knows they don't know yet because they are simply open. The person who thinks they know evaluates and judges everything before they accept it and thus they impede themselves.

This is a real key here, and it's one of the reasons why adults learn far slower than kids. When you get beyond the judgment, you learn fast. Going beyond judgment means attaining a quiet mind. This is real key because as we talked before, concentration and inner peace go hand in hand. Well when one has a quiet mind, they receive, process and learn much faster.

So, when people go into a quiet state amazing things start happening. Scientists call it the alpha state - which refers to the brain wave frequency that the brain is in at that time - they call it the alpha bandwidth.

Kids are naturally in this state. You can get into this state but it takes more effort for adults than kids. Not much more, enough to sense your heartbeat and breath and be willing to "let go" for a few minutes.

There was a whole field of Accelerated Learning built mainly on this fact. A lot of it was started with reports of amazing results in learning languages by a Bulgarian Professor named Dr. Lozanov. Dr. Lozanov found that by getting the students to relax and be in what we now call the alpha state, that they would learn languages 4-5 times the average.

In The Reading Genius course, we teach how to get into the "brain state," go beyond judgment and many other things that help you learn super fast.

Additional elements that help one go into the Alpha state include some musical elements, breathing patterns and simply the ability to "let go". I have found personally that even the most skeptical of people - those who don't believe it is possible to read 5X faster and understand better, once they learn to go into an Alpha state, make significant improvements.
